We use AI technology in our polls: InfoAnalytics to critics
Mr. Musah Dankwa, Executive Director and Head of Global Research at InfoAnalytics, has defended the recent polls released by the organization.
A recent poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics revealed that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, is gaining significant support among first-time voters.
This trend suggests a shift in voter sentiment, particularly among the younger demographic, as the 2024 election approaches, with the National Democratic Congress’ flagbearer John Dramani Mahama leading marginally in the polls.
In an interview with Kwame Dwomoh Agyemang, host of Class 91.3 FM’s morning show on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, Mr. Dankwa disclosed that the organization used AI technology to gather and analyze responses from respondents.
He emphasized that AI helps verify the authenticity of the answers given.
Mr. Dankwa expressed frustration over the political actors' attacks on the integrity of the polls, stressing that InfoAnalytics is conducting professional work to inform political actors about the ground realities.
He clarified that polls are not definitive but are tools to gauge public sentiment.
He argued that Ghanaians will soon come to understand the importance of polls, which are designed to help policymakers track public opinion.
According to the latest poll, 80 percent of respondents have already decided whom to vote for, while only 4.8 percent remain undecided.
He added that this small percentage of undecided voters is unlikely to affect the overall outcome of the elections
