Communications Minister reaffirms commitment to secure digital ecosystem
The Minister for Communications, Sam Nartey George, has reiterated the government’s determination to build a secure, trustworthy, and resilient digital ecosystem for all Ghanaians.
Speaking at the launch of this year’s National Cyber Security Awareness Month, the Minister highlighted the theme, “Building a Safe, Informed and Accountable Digital Space,” as a reflection of the shared responsibility between the government, institutions, and citizens in protecting Ghana’s digital environment.
Mr. George announced that the month-long campaign will feature nationwide outreach programmes targeting children, businesses, the general public, and government institutions.
These will include education, training sessions, and interactive engagements designed to promote digital safety and awareness.
He further revealed that Ghana’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-GH) is now integrated into global threat intelligence platforms and collaborates closely with critical national sectors to detect, prevent, and respond effectively to cyberattacks.
The Minister urged all Ghanaians to remain vigilant and play their part in creating a secure digital space that fosters trust and innovation.
