2024 CAF awards: Ghana's Abdul Aziz Issah nominated for 'Young Player' of the year
Ghanaian football prodigy Abdul Aziz Issah has been nominated for the Young Player of the Year at the upcoming 2024 CAF Awards, showcasing his talent on an international stage.
The attacking midfielder is one of ten players shortlisted for this prestigious honour, with the awards ceremony set to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, 16 December 2024.
Issah, 18, played a pivotal role for Dreams FC last season, helping the team secure a semifinal spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Throughout the tournament, he displayed his skills by scoring four goals and providing two assists in ten appearances.
In addition to his club success, Issah was a key member of the Black Satellites squad that clinched gold at the 2023 African Games held in Ghana earlier this year.
His performance in the Ghana Premier League also stood out, as he found the back of the net seven times for the Still Believe lads during the season.
This summer, Issah took a significant step in his career by joining Barcelona B on loan, where he will continue to develop his skills until the end of the 2024/25 season.
