Akunnor visits Amartey in Leicester
As part of preparations towards the remaining qualifiers of the 2021 African Cup of Nations and the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Head Coach of the Black Stars, C.K. Akunnor, continue to tour and scout for players in Europe.
Yesterday, his tour took him to crook Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey in Leicester, England.
Amartey is recuperating from a career threatening ankle injury that he sustained last season, playing for his club Leicester City, and is expected to return to action soon.
Until his injury, Amartey was a regular member of the Black Stars.
Akunnor had already visited the Ayew Brothers and Christian Atsu, all who ply their trade in England.
He is expected to visit more existing and potential Black Stars players to share his vision and philosophy for the team.
