BRUHM launches campaign to honour Ghana football legends
BRUHM, a home appliances and electronics brand, has launched a campaign to celebrate the contributions of five Ghanaian football legends to the country's football history.
The campaign, dubbed "BRUHM Honours Legends", was unveiled in Accra under the theme, "The Men Behind Our Greatest Football Memories."
According to the company, the initiative seeks to recognise the achievements and sacrifices of former footballers Mohammed Polo, Rev. Osei Kofi, Dan Quaye, Ibrahim Sunday and Nii Odartey Lamptey, whose careers helped shape Ghana's football heritage.
BRUHM said the campaign aims to highlight the passion, discipline, resilience and commitment that contributed to the development of football in Ghana.
As part of the initiative, the company has produced a documentary-style film exploring the lives, achievements and experiences of the five football legends. The film features personal reflections on their careers, challenges and contributions to the game.
Speaking at the launch, the Head of Marketing at BRUHM, Roshanak Taheri, said the campaign was intended to recognise the individuals whose efforts helped build the foundations of Ghanaian football.
"With BRUHM Honours Legends, we wanted to move beyond football-season hype and honour the foundation behind the game Ghana loves," she said.
She added that football remains an important part of Ghana's identity and that the campaign seeks to celebrate the individuals whose contributions continue to inspire generations.
BRUHM noted that football extends beyond the pitch and remains deeply rooted in homes, communities, schools, workplaces and other social spaces where people gather to share football experiences.
The company said the campaign reflects its commitment to recognising those shared moments and the people who helped create them.
According to BRUHM, each of the featured legends represents a distinct chapter in Ghana's football journey. The company identified values such as respect, resilience, pride, togetherness and legacy as central themes of the campaign.
The campaign's documentary follows the footballers through five stages of their lives and careers, including their aspirations, journeys, achievements, legacy and advice for future generations.
As part of the initiative, members of the public will be able to access a dedicated digital platform featuring profiles of the football legends and an interactive football quiz.
Participants who successfully complete the quiz will have the opportunity to win a BRUHM Air Fryer and invitations to attend the BRUHM Honours Legends Closing Dinner with the featured football legends.
BRUHM said the campaign is also intended to encourage young footballers and aspiring leaders by highlighting the importance of discipline, humility, hard work and perseverance.
The company manufactures and distributes a range of home appliances and electronics, including televisions, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, air conditioners and kitchen appliances.
