The Black Stars resumed training on Thursday evening at Bryant University, less than 24 hours after their 1-0 victory over Panama in their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Head coach Carlos Queiroz and his technical team supervised a recovery session focused on player regeneration and preparation for Ghana's next Group L fixture.

Players who featured in Wednesday's win underwent light training, including gym work centred on muscle activation and mobility, before taking part in low-intensity ball exercises on the pitch. The session was overseen by the team's fitness and medical staff, with attention placed on recovery and injury prevention.

Meanwhile, substitute players and those who did not feature against Panama completed a more intensive workout to maintain match fitness.

Caleb Yirenkyi, who scored the winning goal on his World Cup debut, trained with the squad, while goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and the rest of the players completed the session without any reported issues.

The Black Stars will continue preparations in Rhode Island ahead of their second Group L match against England.
