Coach Otto Addo announces new faces Black Stars call-up for Nigeria, Uganda friendlies

Ahead of the upcoming friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda, Ghana’s coach, Otto Addo, has unveiled a squad of 26 players, which includes several new faces alongside familiar names.

Among the notable newcomers are David Akologo from Bolivia, Ibrahim Osman from Nordsjaelland, Nathaniel Adjei from France, and Diomande Mohammed from Rangers of Scotland.

These players have earned their first call-ups to the national team due to their standout performances for their respective clubs, catching Addo’s attention.

Joining them in the squad is Frederick Asare from Asante Kotoko, who is also set to make his debut appearance for the national team.

Their inclusion marks the beginning of a new era under Addo’s leadership, as Ghana prepares for the friendly matches to be held in Marrakech, Morocco.

In addition to the new recruits, familiar faces make their return to the squad, including Tariq Lamptey from Brighton and Hove Albion, who has recovered from injury.

Left-back Patrick Kpozo, winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and midfielder Edmund Addo also rejoin the team.

The squad features seasoned players like captain Andre Ayew, forward Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Osman Bukari, Samed Abdul Samed, and Elisha Owusu, providing depth and experience.

With tough encounters against Nigeria and Uganda on the horizon, excitement builds among fans eager to witness the performance of this blend of fresh talent and seasoned veterans under Addo’s guidance.

The match against Nigeria is scheduled for Friday, March 22, followed by the clash against Uganda four days later.
