Covid-19: Stadiums can now admit 25% fans – Gov’t
The Government has eased the restriction on sporting activities with permission for stadiums to admit 25% capacity fans.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah.
Sports, especially football, resumed in November 2020 after the government eased restriction on contact sports.
However, the Ghana Premier League and other football matches are played behind closed doors to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The latest directive means 25% fans can watch the games live from the stadiums.
All existing hygiene protocols are still, however, in force.
