GFA election challenge: No verdict yet from CAS – Palmer
Embattled football administrator Wilfred Kweku Osei “Palmer” has denied reports claiming his outfit has received an executive summary verdict from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the case involving himself and the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The Tema Youth bankroller is seeking to overturn last year’s Ghana FA presidential election after being disqualified.
The global tribunal body confirmed Tuesday, 4 August 2020, as the date to announce the verdict to bring to an end, a 10-month litigation process but failed to do so.
A statement released by team Palmer on Wednesday, 5 August 2020 debunked claims that he had received a copy of the ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sports.
“We wish to establish the fact that our lawyers are yet to receive the ruling from CAS,” the statement noted.
