GFA unveils new Black Stars management committee

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the formation of a new Management Committee for the Senior Male National Team, the Black Stars.
The newly constituted committee is tasked with overseeing the administrative and logistical operations of the team to ensure efficiency and optimal performance.
The Management Committee will be chaired by Dr. Randy Abbey, a GFA Executive Council Member, who will also lead engagements with Government and key stakeholders.
Supporting him as Vice-Chairman is Stephen Appiah, a former Black Stars captain, who will focus on player relations in addition to his leadership role.
Other members of the committee include:
Samuel Aboabire, Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and a GFA Executive Council member, responsible for Operations and Matchday activities. Moses Armah, President of Medeama Sporting Club, who will also handle Operations while ensuring that sponsors, partners, and collaborators’ interests are met. Richard Nsenkyire, President of FC Samartex 1996, the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League Champions, will oversee special duties.The Management Committee will be responsible for:
Strategic planning and ensuring the smooth administration of the Black Stars. Serving as a liaison between the Technical Team and the GFA. Overseeing camping arrangements, logistics, and travel plans. Preparing and ensuring adherence to activity schedules for matches and tournaments in consultation with the Head Coach and Technical Team. Coordinating with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to secure timely release of funds for the team’s operations. Upholding the team’s image and ensuring players and officials act as worthy ambassadors of Ghana. Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Departments of the GFA to fulfil commitments to sponsors and partners.GFA President Kurt E.S. Okraku expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to drive the Black Stars forward.
"We are excited to announce the formation of this new Management Committee, which brings together a team of experienced and dedicated individuals who are passionate about Ghana football. We are confident that they will work tirelessly to support the Black Stars and ensure their success," he said.
The GFA believes the expertise and experience of the newly appointed Management Committee will be instrumental in steering the Black Stars towards greater achievements on the international stage.
