GOC supports Ghana Rugby with GHS43,000 for Olympic qualifiers
The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) is supporting the national rugby team with US$8,000 as they strive to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan next year.
In line with that, the team has been stepping up preparations hoping to make the grade.
A number of players and officials have been called up for the Rugby 7's Championship by the Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) as Ghana looks to build a competitive squad for the qualifiers.
The players include Abdul Jalilu Yussif, Alexander Dorpenyo (C), Alexander George Acquaah (UK), Calestus Bosoka, Emmanuel Terakuu, Francis Kweku Mensah-Donkor, Gideon Klugey, Kofi Montchon, Michael Acquaye, Richard Kossivi Botchi, Selom Gavor (SA) and Suwabiru Salim Amuzuloh.
The management team consists of Coach Lovemore Kuzorera, Team Manager Salisu Abdul Rahman, Assistant Team Manager John Donkoh, Tournament Manager Rafatu Inusah and Oversight & Logistics Manager Rian Malan.
