Ghana handed flag to host 2023 African games
Ghana was officially handed the African Games flag at the Closing Ceremony of the 12th African Games on Saturday 31st August 2019, in Rabat, Morocco.
The handing over of the flag at the colourful ceremony, thus gives the baton to Ghana to organise the 13th edition in 2023.
The flag was presented by Moroccan Minister of Youth and Sports to his Ghanaian counterpart, Isaac Kwame Asiamah, who was represented by the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Curtis Perry Okudjeto, in the presence of other Ghanaian officials including the Ambassador to Morocco, S. Yakubu, and Director General of National Sports Authority, Prof. Peter Twumasi.
A number of athletes and coaches from Ghana also participated in the ceremony.
