Ghanaian, Sadio Mane to feature in Clubs World Cup
A Ghanaian player is expected to feature in this year’s Club World Cup taking place in Qatar from today 11th December to 21st December, 2019.
Kwame Bonsu and his Esperance de Tunis teammates have arrived in Qatar for the 10 days competition expected to feature European Champions, Liverpool.
Together with Ibrahim Ouattara and Fousseny Coulibaly, all from Ivory Coast and Junior Lokosa of Nigeria are players from Sub Saharan Africa in the Tunisian side.
The former Hearts of Lions juvenile joined Esperance from Kumasi Asante Kotoko. He has already tasted some European football, largely in the Scandinavian region.
Other African players expected to grace the occasion are Sadio Mane of Senegal, Mohammed Salah of Egypt and Naby Keita of Guinea, all featuring for Liverpool.
Clubs taking part in the competition are Flamengo of Brazil, Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, host Al Sadd of Qatar, Liverpool, Hienghene from the Pacific region and Monterrey from the Concaf region.
The competition begins today 11th December to 21st December.It is part of the warm-up procedure for the 2022 World Cup in the same country.
