Hearts-Kotoko match headlines matchday 6
The battle between the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana will headline matchday 6 of the Ghana Premier League.
Both sides have lost two matches in the six-week-old league and will be hoping to grab a win and the bragging rights when they clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Ahead of the match, the two coaches have been expressing optimism about carrying the day.
Coach Odoom of Hearts said: “We have had some good training sessions since our last game with Liberty Professionals and the confidence level among the boys is high, with the hunger to deliver unimaginably”.
Coach Maxwell Konadu of Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, assured Kotoko fans of grabbing a win over their bitterest rivals.
But before Sunday’s game, Legon Cities FC will this evening entertain WAFA at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Legon Cities FC have been struggling in the GPL and, thus, the boys from Sogakope are expected to run away with victory.
League leaders Berekum Chelsea are also battling second-placed Aduana Stars at the Golden City Park.
Both teams have experienced players and, therefore, a draw looks a likely outcome.
In other matches, Great Olympics will host Inter Allies FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Olympics have gradually been warming themselves into the league and are expected to carry the day.
