The woes of Accra Hearts of Oak were further deepened following a 0 – 3 loss to Medeama SC at the Tarkwa T&A Park.

The Phobians who were beaten by Berekum Chelsea in the first match at home, could not recover after conceding two goals in the first half.

They now have 0 points.

New signing Prince Opoku Agyemang scored a brace in the first half.

He converted a penalty after striker Kofi Kordzi had handled the ball in the penalty box and again scored in the 35th-minute through a simple tap.

The Phobians looked like an ordinary team following Medeama’s dominance.

In the dying embers of the game, the Mauve and Yellows annihilated the Phobians when Nana Kofi Babil registered the third goal.

Medeama is now the league leaders with six points and more goals scored.

Elsewhere, second-placed Aduana Stars piped Great Olympics by a lone goal at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Nana Kwesi scored for Medeama late in the game to secure victory and three maximum points for Aduana, who now have six points and second on the table behind Medeama SC.

Ashgold also made it two wins out of two matches, defeating King Faisal 1 – 0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Central defender Mubarik Yussif scored in the second consecutive game to give the Miners their first-ever victory over Faisal at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Ashgold now have 6 maximum points.

Dreams FC also made two wins out of two matches when they won 1 – 0 against Eleven Wonders at Techiman.

The Dawu-based club travelled all the way to the Bono East Region to inflict the painful defeat to the Techiman-based club.

Defender Sulemana Mohammed got the only goal in the 14th-minute of the game.
