Accra Hearts of Oak got their first win and points in the ongoing Ghana Premier League with a 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians who dominated the match scored from two beautiful free kicks in each of the half.

Striker Joseph Esso's brilliantly curled a freekick beyond the reach of the Dwarfs goalkeeper to open

The floodgate in the 30th minute.

Few minutes into the second half, Kofi Kordzi won a free kick and expertly curled a free kick to give the Phobians two goals lead.

But Dwarfs never gave up and benefited from a poor clearance from Central defender Mohammed Alhassan and scored through Albert Ato Hammond.

The win put Hearts in mid-table of the GPL after Match Day Three.

Leaders Aduana Stars made it three wins out of three matches after beating King Faisal at the Agyemang Badu Park at Dormaa Ahenkro.

Veteran striker Yahya Mohmmed got a brace and moved his goal tally to five.

He opened the scoring in the 31st minute when he connected a pass from Pious Asante Yeboah.

He doubled the former champions lead in the 59th minute, finishing off a cross from Isaac Kwain.

Ashgold also joined Aduana to make it a 100% record in the GPL when they beat Techiman Eleven Wonder at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Emmanuel Owusu broke the deadlock on the 29th minute to put the miners in front following an excellent effort by Mark Agyekum.

Mark Agyekum however doubled the lead with a magnificent curling shot after receiving a pass from Abdul Latif Anabila on the stroke of halftime.

Elsewhere in Kumasi, Asante Kotoko were shocked 0-1 by Berekum Chelsea.

A 7th minute goal by returnee Kofi Owusu was all that Chelsea who also beat Hearts by the same score line in Accra three weeks ago, needed to carry the day.

The game was marred by violence by some supporters of Kotoko who intermittently threw bottled and sachet water on match officials for what they described as poor officiating.

Kotoko could face the wrath of the disciplinary committee following these incidents.

Medeama however failed to get their 100% start to the GPL intact when they were held by Liberty Professionals  1-1 at the Dansoman Park.
