Inaki Williams, other foreign-based Ghanaian-born players eligible to play for Ghana
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao, Tariq Lamptey of Brighton and Hove Albion; and Stephen Ambrosius (Hamburger SV), are now available for selection by the Black Stars technical team.
Other foreign-based Ghanaian born players eligble are Ransford-Yeboah Koningsdorffer (Hamburger SV) AND Patric Pfeiffer (SV Damstadt 98).
This follows successful engagements between the GFA, the players and their parents over the last few months.
The players are now eligible to play for Ghana in the Qatar world cup and Afcon qualifiers.
President of the GFA, Kurt Okraku said “the availability of these players means a lot to the GFA and the technical team of the Black Stars.
“We have always maintained that we will not limit ourselves to only a small group of players but scout top talents across the globe who are ready to sacrifice for the nation and to take us to the next level”.
