Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has opened up about his move to Tottenham Hotspur, following the completion of his £55 million transfer from West Ham United.

The 24-year-old signed a six-year contract with the North London club on Thursday, pledging his future to the reigning Europa League champions.

Kudus had drawn attention from Premier League rivals Chelsea and several clubs in the Saudi Pro League, but ultimately chose Spurs.

In an interview with Tottenham’s official website, Kudus cited the club’s project and the influence of manager Thomas Frank as key factors in his decision.

“One of the most important parts of why I came here is the project and how the manager sees it, and to develop under him,” Kudus said.

“With the history of where he’s come from, I’ve seen the amount of talent he’s developed to become great players. It’s a big sign of why I wanted to work under him as well.”

Kudus, who enjoyed an impressive spell at West Ham, will wear the No. 20 shirt at Tottenham as he begins a new chapter in North London.
