Patrice Evra lauds Ghanaian hospitality above other nations’

Football notable Patrice Evra has praised the reception he received upon arrival to Ghana as the best he has had so far on his African tour. 

The former Manchester United defender landed in Ghana on Monday evening and was received by a group which had among them renowned Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah and chanting fans. 

“I’ve been in Nigeria, I’ve been in Senegal, and this is the best welcome,” an impressed Evra commented.

 “It’s crazy. I didn’t expect this kind of warm reception from all the Ghanaian people,” he also said donning the sash and holding the bouquet of flowers he was welcomed with. 

The 41-year-old football megastar is on an African tour with his autobiographical book titled ‘I Love This Game’.

“It’s my first time in Ghana and I’ll remember that all my life. I already feel the love,” Evra noted and then alluded to the jollof war: “The next thing to try is the Ghana jollof.”

Later in a meeting with the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, he assured, “It’s not my last time. I’m going to be here [again]. It’s such a beautiful country. Thanks for having us.” 

The French coach visited the Ghanaian leader together with his partners at the fintech company Chipper.
