Put together a solid team for CAF Champions League – Jabir to Kotoko coach
Ex-Ghana footballer, Malik Jabir has admonished Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu to put together a formidable team for their upcoming CAF Champions League campaign, which starts this November.
He urged the team to “train assiduously to surmount the task ahead of them”.
Malik Jabir made this call in an interview with Class Sports in Accra.
Malik Jabir wants new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Nana Yaw Amponsah to appoint people who love the team, the game and people that will sacrifice their time and energy for the club.
“There is a lot of pressure in Kotoko that no one can imagine and with the help of the board, they will change things,” he said.
Malik Jabir also hit back at critics of Kotoko who are against the club’s participation in the next CAF Champions League.
The Former Kotoko Striker stated that everyone should help and support the club in everything they do.
“We have very intelligent people who are on the board and everyone cannot be pleased,” he stated.
He encouraged Ghanaians and supporters of Kotoko to support any decision taken by the board and management.
