Scouts set to invade Ghana for Baby Jet U16 tourney
Some top European agents are expected to be at the 2019 finals of the Baby Jet U16 Tournament to scout for talents.
The event, organised by Goldstars Consult Limited, and supported by the Asamoah Gyan Foundation and Baby Jet promotions, took a different view this year.
The Baby Jet Under-16 Tournament offers young unsigned players opportunities to earn professional contracts with foreign clubs.
The semi-finals to declare the Top 2 in Goaso has been scheduled for Wednesday, 4 September 2019.
The Eastern and Greater Accra regions will play together in Accra on Friday and Saturday.
The competition, which taps into new talents across the country, promises to be extremely competitive this year, with players hoping to catch the attention of agents like Sam Hart, Ricardo Joao Cruz and Sebastian Henrique Ramos, who are all expected to be in town to watch the grand finale scheduled for Wednesday, 11 September to Wednesday, 18 September.
The competing teams from across the country are expected to be in Accra by Tuesday, 10 September with the opening ceremony to be held at the Asamoah Gyan Sports Centre at Accra Academy on Wednesday, 11 September.
