Tokyo Olympics: Akufo-Addo has a special prize for gold medalists – Sports Minister to team Ghana

Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif has urged Ghana’s national boxing team, the Black Bombers and team Ghana in general to have the confidence of champions and go all out to win gold in the ongoing Olympic games in Tokyo, Japan.
Speaking to the captain of the Black Bombers Suleimanu Tetteh who won his first bout in an exclusive chat, the minister said the boxers are Ghana’s biggest hope and the victory chalked by the captain must motivated other athletes to perform well as champions.
He expressed that if they go to the finals and win medals, the rewards will come in different folds from different places.
According to him, President Nana Akufo-Addo is monitoring their progress adding that apart from their bonuses, the president has a special prize for anyone who wins gold, while corporate Ghana is also going to reward them massively.
The minister urged the team to continue to be disciplined, self-motivated and shine.
Two other Ghanaian boxers will do battle today, Wednesday, 28 July with Featherweight Samuel Takyi clashing with Jean Carlos Pachito Caicedo of Ecuador, and Light heavyweight, Shakul Samed meeting Malkan Bayram of Turkey.
