UG Sports Stadium to become permanent home of FA Cup final - GFA Boss

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has announced a significant plan to make the University of Ghana (UG) Stadium the permanent home of the MTN FA Cup final.
He made this announcement during the FA Cup trophy presentation to a high-level delegation from the University of Ghana, including Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic and Students Affairs) Professor Gordon Awandare and Acting UG Director of Sports, Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu.
This year's FA Cup final, featuring Nsoatreman FC and Bofoakwa Tano, will take place on Sunday, June 23, at the UG Stadium.
Mr Okraku emphasized the GFA's intention to establish the venue as a long-term fixture for the event.
“Thank you very much for opening up your facility to us. We believe that the University of Ghana will always be a strategic partner to the Ghana Football Association in our determination or in our attempt to develop football. Beyond this exercise, we intend to engage you more. In fact, we intend to make this facility the permanent home of this fixture.”
As the 2024 FA Cup final approaches, Bofoakwa Tano faces a challenging period, having been relegated from the Ghana Premier League to Division One.
