The Jasikan Municipal Assembly has earned national recognition for its outstanding performance in the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT IX) for 2024, surpassing the national average and setting a new benchmark for excellence in local governance.

The assembly scored 37%, outperforming the national pass mark of 34.6%, a feat described as a clear reflection of teamwork, commitment, and resilience among the staff and assembly members.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Jasikan, Parke-Davis Magyigbe, commended the staff and assembly members for their sterling performance, noting that their dedication to duty and passion for excellence had brought honour to the municipality.

He said, "By attaining 37% against the national pass mark of 34.6%, you have not only performed above the national average but also demonstrated commitment, teamwork, and dedication to duty. This achievement is a testament to your hard work, resilience, and passion for excellence."

Magyigbe also acknowledged the invaluable support of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Buem Constituency, Kofi Iddie Adams, whose guidance and commitment contributed significantly to the assembly’s success.

He urged staff and assembly members not to relent but to build upon this remarkable achievement to attain greater milestones that would accelerate development in the Jasikan Municipality.

The DPAT is an annual performance assessment tool used by the Government of Ghana to measure the efficiency, accountability, and service delivery of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs). Performing above the national average not only boosts the credibility of the assembly but also enhances its eligibility for increased funding and development support.

With this achievement, Jasikan Municipal Assembly has reaffirmed its commitment to good governance and development-oriented leadership, setting a standard for other assemblies to emulate.
