Shama NPP executives endorse Dr. Bryan Acheampong for 2028 flagbearership race

Polling Station Executives and Electoral Area Coordinators of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Shama Constituency have declared their strong support for Dr. Bryan Acheampong as the party’s flagbearer ahead of the 2028 general elections.
At a meeting over the weekend, the constituency executives described Dr. Acheampong as the “messiah of their time,” arguing that he is the right candidate to rebuild and unify the party, particularly in the wake of its 2024 electoral defeat.
“We are all here because of Dr. Acheampong. Among all the contestants, Dr. Bryan stands tall — he is the one Ghanaians are yearning for going into the next elections,” a spokesperson for the group said.
They further pointed to his humility and track record of delivery, stressing that what the party needs is not just another candidate, but “someone who can wrestle power from the NDC.”
The endorsement reflects growing momentum from the party’s grassroots, with increasing calls for Dr. Acheampong to stay firm in the presidential race.
Many within the NPP see his leadership qualities, political experience, and bold vision for Ghana as key to restoring the party’s electoral fortunes
