ADB hosts National Farmers’ forum to honour 2025 award winners
The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) on Thursday, December 4, hosted its annual National Farmers’ Forum in Ho to celebrate and engage winners of the 41st National Best Farmers and Fishers Awards.
The event brought together top awardees from across the country, providing a platform to interact, share experiences, and recognise their exceptional contributions to Ghana’s agricultural development.
Addressing the ceremony, the General Manager in charge of Agribusiness at ADB, Mr. Kwame Asiedu Attrams, congratulated the award winners for their hard work and excellence, which have earned them national recognition.
Speaking on the theme for this year’s celebrations, “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future,” Mr. Attrams reaffirmed ADB’s unwavering support for national initiatives aimed at strengthening food security.
He emphasised the bank’s commitment to financing climate-resilient agriculture and scaling up support for vegetable farmers across the country.
Mr. Attrams also highlighted ADB’s long-standing role as the lead sponsor of the National Farmers’ Day awards, stressing that the annual forum remains a key initiative for promoting agricultural innovation and deepening the bank’s relationship with the sector it was established to serve.
He assured farmers and fishers that ADB will continue to design tailor-made financial products and services to make banking more accessible and beneficial for them.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Mr Eric Opoku, expressed appreciation to ADB for its consistent and expanded support for the National Farmers’ Day celebrations.
He commended farmers and fishers for their indispensable contribution to sustaining the nation’s food supply, noting that Ghana’s food security depends significantly on their commitment and resilience.
