Akufo-Addo launches GHS600m stimulus package for MSMEs today

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today, Tuesday, 19 May 2020, launch the GHS600 million stimulus package to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that have been negatively affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Dubbed the Coronavirus Alleviation Programme (CAP) Business Support Scheme (CAP BuSS), the initiative is intended to provide soft loans to MSMEs.
The launch will take place at the Jubilee House.
In his fifth televised address to the nation on Ghana's COVID-19 fight, Nana Akufo-Addo announced that the government, in collaboration with the National Board for Small Scale Industries NBSSI, Business & Trade Associations and selected Commercial and Rural Banks, would roll out a soft loan scheme up to a total of GHS600 million to cushion these businesses.
