Mr. Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of KGL Group, was honoured with two prestigious awards at the just-ended 9th Ghana CEO Excellence Awards, winning CEO of the Year – Group Business Sector (Private Sector) for the third consecutive time, and CEO of the Year – Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Technology Sector.

The accolades were presented during the Ghana CEO Summit, which brought together more than 500 top CEOs, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from across West Africa.

Held under the theme “Leading Ghana’s Economic Reset: Transforming Business and Governance for a Sustainable Futuristic Economy,” the summit focused on forging stronger public-private collaboration and promoting sustainable leadership and innovation.

Mr. Dadey’s recognition celebrates his outstanding leadership and continued contribution to both the private sector and Ghana’s evolving technology space.

Under his stewardship, KGL Technology, a key subsidiary of the Group, has led groundbreaking digital transformation in ICT, gaming, and telecommunications, earning a No. 1 ranking in the ICT sector at the most recent Ghana Club 100 Awards.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Dadey humbly acknowledged the collective efforts behind the awards:“This honour is a testament to the unwavering dedication of the entire KGL Group team.

It reflects the strength of our partnerships, our shared values, and our belief in innovation that delivers impact.

I’m grateful to all our stakeholders whose trust has been the bedrock of our progress.”

Mr. Dadey also commended President John Dramani Mahama for fostering a collaborative national dialogue with the private sector, describing it as a hallmark of visionary leadership:

“My deepest appreciation goes to His Excellency, President Mahama.

His recognition of the private sector as a driver of inclusive progress has created an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and innovate.

When government and industry work hand in hand, we lay the foundation for a resilient and forward-looking Ghana.”

Throughout the summit, Mr. Dadey championed the need for localised, inclusive innovation to address Africa’s development challenges. Speaking during a fireside chat with TV3’s Kemini Amanor, he highlighted KGL Group’s success in leveraging Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) to deliver transformative solutions tailored to Ghana’s realities.

“The most impactful solutions come from within. At KGL, we design technology that speaks to our own challenges, culture, and communities.

That’s how we build long-term resilience.”

Mr. Dadey also emphasised KGL Group’s commitment to responsible business, underpinned by sound corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and transparency.

The company continues to set the pace in ethical enterprise and inclusive innovation.

Central to this vision is the KGL Foundation, the Group’s CSR arm, which drives impactful initiatives in education, healthcare, and community empowerment.

From supporting vulnerable populations to investing in youth entrepreneurship, the Foundation reflects the Group’s belief that business should be a force for good.

Mr. Dadey’s dual awards at the 9th Ghana CEO Summit reaffirm not only his leadership excellence but also his role in shaping a new era of business in Ghana—one defined by purpose, innovation, and inclusive growth.
