SIC Insurance PLC to provide rewards system to high-performing agents
Management of SIC Insurance PLC on Tuesday held a strategic engagement with the Agents Association of SIC Insurance PLC (ASICA) at the National Insurance Commission (NIC) headquarters in Accra.
The meeting aimed to acknowledge the agents' longstanding dedication, address key operational challenges, and chart new directions for collaboration and growth.
Agents from across the country were in attendance, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the SIC brand.
In his opening remarks, ASICA President, Mr. Fred Kakra Wilson, congratulated Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng on his appointment as Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC.
He noted that Mr. Agyenim-Boateng's leadership has brought renewed energy and hope to the organisation.
Mr. Wilson emphasised the vital role agents play in driving SIC’s premium production and expressed optimism that management would continue to provide the needed support for agents to surpass their targets in 2025.
In response, Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng expressed deep appreciation to ASICA members for their exceptional loyalty and contribution to the company's success.
He noted that some agents have served SIC for as long as 50 years—an extraordinary testament to their dedication.
“Our company’s foundation was built on the strength of our Agency force more than six decades ago, and the formation of ASICA in 1989 confirms that you are the backbone of this institution,” he remarked.
Mr. Agyenim-Boateng outlined his vision to deepen collaboration with ASICA, pledging to strengthen training programmes aimed at sharpening agents' skills in business and portfolio management.
He also announced plans to introduce a competitive rewards system to recognise high-performing agents.
He further assured the Association of management’s readiness to streamline operations and remove bottlenecks that hinder efficiency.
To enhance engagement, he pledged to maintain open communication channels to ensure agents’ feedback helps shape SIC’s strategic direction.
“As management, we are fully committed to growth, innovation, and excellence.
Our goal is to empower our agents with the best tools, training, and incentives to thrive in today’s competitive insurance market,” he stated.
Mr. Agyenim-Boateng also encouraged agents to continue representing the SIC brand with trust and professionalism.
“We are not just here to sell insurance policies. We are here to make a difference—helping individuals recover from loss, supporting businesses in times of adversity, and giving society the confidence to move forward,” he said.
