BoG, Police shut down Dek-Nock Investments for unauthorised deposit-taking
The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Bank of Ghana (BoG), has today, Friday, July 19, 2024, closed down Dek-Nock Investments, located in Nungua and Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.
The closure is in accordance with Section 20(2)(g) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).
A statement signed by Ms. Sandra Thompson, the Secretary of BoG, indicated that Dek-Nock Investments was engaged in unauthorised deposit-taking, contrary to Section 6(1) of Act 930.
The Ghana Police Service is conducting further investigations into the operations of Dek-Nock Investments. Customers of the company have been urged to remain calm while investigations continue.
The BoG emphasised its commitment to clamping down on illegal deposit-taking operations and assured that all offenders would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
