Bolt launches Bolt Food in Accra

Bolt has launched Bolt Food as an extension of the service offered to customers in Accra.
Bolt Food has introduced this to create an accessible platform for restaurants and vendors. Customers can now place orders for their meals from a variety of restaurants and eateries available on the Bolt Food platform and have these meals delivered at their doorstep.
Giving insight behind the new offering Nonso Onwuzulike, Bolt’s Country Manager for Ghana says “Bolt as a responsive market leader in the ride-hailing sector in Ghana is always looking at ways to use innovative tools to serve our customers better. Bolt Food is an answer to a pressing need of most of our customers who are looking to have their meals delivered to them on time and at the comfort of their homes and offices.”
Restaurants, food vendors and eateries can sign up or register to provide services on the Bolt Food Service platform by visiting food.bolt.eu and following the restaurant sign-up link.
“As Bolt, we have leveraged our experience in operations and logistics, and existing technology along with hundreds of thousands of drivers to build the best food delivery network in couriers where we operate. We have thousands of users who already actively use our product and trust Bolt brand. Offering a new product for our active users is the logical next step for us,” Onwuzulike concluded.
Customers, on the other hand, can also assess Bolt Food Service through the Bolt Food app and place their orders. Once the orders are taken by the restaurant or food vendor, drivers will be alerted to pick the orders and deliver them to the appropriate destination.
Bolt Food is a first of its kind by any ride-hailing service provider in Ghana, and the launch gives a whole new meaning to bringing your favourite meal to your doorstep with a 40% discount from selected food partners. Customers can look forward to ordering food from KFC, Papa’s Pizza, Chicken Inn, Doughman, Breakfast to Breakfast, Yah!. Bolt Food is available in Osu, East Legon, Airport, Cantonments, Dzorwulu, Labone, Ridge, Tesano, Abelemkpe.
