The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has announced the successful completion of a major upgrade to ENI’s gas infrastructure, resulting in an increase in gas supply from 245 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) to 270 MMscfd.
The enhanced capacity is expected to significantly strengthen Ghana’s energy security, providing a more stable and reliable supply to support the country’s power sector and broader economic development.
In a statement, the Ministry commended ENI and all stakeholders in the power sector for their commitment and collaboration in delivering this vital project.
“This milestone marks an important step in our drive towards a sustainable and resilient energy future,” the Ministry stated.
Acknowledging the public’s cooperation, the Ministry also expressed appreciation to the people of Ghana for their patience and support during the upgrade process.
As the nation continues to push for energy reliability and sustainability, the Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring an uninterrupted power supply for all Ghanaians.
