Gov't pledges commitment to smooth energy transition for sustainable development
Dr John Kumah, Deputy Minister for Finance, has affirmed the government's dedication to facilitating a seamless energy transition, fostering a conducive environment for business growth, and maintaining food security in the country.
He provided this assurance while representing Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta at the Joint Intergovernmental Committee of Senior Officials and Experts for North Africa and West Africa, organised by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Accra.![]()
As the Member of Parliament for the Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr Kumah outlined various initiatives undertaken by the administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to him, these initiatives are geared towards achieving energy transition, ensuring food security, and establishing regional value chains for sustainable development.
Dr Kumah underscored Ghana's commitment to prioritising Africa's voice, position, and common interests in global sustainable development issues.
