Locked-up Investment holders stage protest

Members of the Locked-up Investment Holders Forum (LIHF) have staged a protest to urge the Bank of Ghana to address their concerns regarding their locked-up investments.
The protest, which began near the NDK Finance office by the Accra Sports Stadium, was halted at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum as the Bank of Ghana premises are designated as a security zone.
Dr. Adu Anane Antwi, the convener of the group, explained to the press that they sought shelter at the mausoleum due to harsh weather conditions and in compliance with police regulations.
He referenced a previous protest by the Minority in Parliament that was also stopped at this point, indicating a reluctance to defy police directives.
Meanwhile, a delegation of ten members has been chosen to meet with the Finance Minister personally to reiterate the contents of a petition submitted in November.
Dr. Antwi stated, "The next plan is to go to the Ministry of Finance. Ten of us will go and meet the minister and we have already given a petition to them since November 2023 so we are going to find out what the minister is doing about it."
