24 hour economy

The 24-Hour Economy Secretariat has announced a press briefing scheduled for Monday, 30th June 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Bank of Ghana, as part of Ghana’s much-anticipated 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme.

According to the Secretariat, the media engagement will provide detailed insights into the programme’s key objectives, implementation strategies, and the projected socio-economic impact on job creation, productivity, and export growth.

The 24-Hour Economy initiative, a flagship policy of the current administration, is aimed at stimulating economic activity around the clock by leveraging industrial capacity, expanding service delivery hours, and promoting export-oriented production.

The Accelerated Export Development component of the programme is expected to target key sectors such as agro-processing, manufacturing, and light industry, with the goal of boosting Ghana’s non-traditional export earnings and positioning the country as a competitive player in regional and global markets.

The Secretariat says it looks forward to active media participation and stakeholder engagement as Ghana takes bold steps toward economic transformation and inclusive growth.
