Prempeh named best minister
Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh was last Friday named Best Minister at the 3rd Africa Public Sector Conference and Awards, held at the Kempinski Hotel, Gold Coast city Accra.
Dr. Prempeh according to the organisers was adjudged Best Minister in recognition of his “outstanding service, innovation and tireless Energy sector”
“Honourable, under your leadership, Ghana has made significant headway establishing a competitive natural gas sector. By focusing on key projects that aim to fully exploit the country’s resources, rapidly increase power generation and decrease heavy fuel imports, you have revitalized Ghana’s promising natural gas industry,” the organisers said in a statement to the Minister.
The award was received on behalf of Dr. Prempeh by Ag. Chief Director of the Ministry of Energy, Mrs. Wilhelmina Asamoah.
