Republic Bank launches new digital platform for customers

In a bid to ensure easier and safer way of Banking, Republic Bank Ghana has launched a secured Digital Platform to safeguard investments of its customers.

Known as Digital-Suite, the Platform, is a one-stop-shop that would provide solutions to individuals and businesses to facilitate the easy accessibility of funds and payment needs.

Speaking at the launch, Managing Director of the Bank, Friday Antar mentioned that, the Platform is tailored for both customers and non- customers of the Bank for their Bank transactions.

He said the digital suite can be found on Mobile app store and comes at no fees.

Good morning,

 

First, I would like to thank the Media for your support and partnership towards promoting the Republic Bank Brand for all these years. Over the last two months, Republic Bank’s visibility in the media has gone up thanks to your support in projecting and telling our stories. Our performance on the stock market within the last month has been impressive. It is a signal of growing interest in the Bank and this could also be attributed to the positive brand stories that have been projected over the last 2 months.

I will also like to thank our Customers and the General Public who are joining us virtually for the continuous support and belief in Republic Brand, we are grateful to you for your vote of confidence. Today is a significant milestone of the Bank and there is no better way than to connect with Customers, Staff and Media Partners to celebrate this day.

Ladies and Gentlemen, today is a day to celebrate progress and as Lewis Howes, an American bestselling author aptly put it “The Key to happiness is really progress, growth and constantly working on yourself and developing something.

Indeed, we have been working on something, we have been busy over the last three years re-engineering our business, providing leadership, deploying the right systems and tools, and building capacity in all aspects of our business as a Bank.

Today, we are here to launch our new and improved suite of digital services, which includes a Mobile App, a refreshed USSD Banking and Internet Banking Service platforms. 

We are aware that this road that we have embarked on is not new to many but as the popular saying goes “A journey of a thousand mile begins with a step”.  And just as a driver will always take a cue from cars ahead of him, we have mastered the science of research and the art of innovation to deliver master piece of a digital service that is robust with many functionalities that both Customers and Non-Customers could utilize for all their financial transactions.

Ladies and Gentle the Republic Bank Suite of Digital Services is an Omni Channel; what it means is that you can start a transaction from one platform and end on another without any hitches. These platforms are integrated into one that is;

RepublicMobile Ghana   -  Which is a mobile App and can be downloaded on any Android and iOS smart phones anywhere in the world

RepublicOnline – Which is the internet banking service, which can be utilized by both Individuals and businesses for all financial transactions and can be accessed via the Bank’s website www.republicghana.com

RepublicUSSD *414#, which works on any phone even without internet - what is notably known in Ghana as a Yam Phone… Just as we transact mobile money, you just have to dial *414# on any phone and on any telecommunication network in Ghana and you have access to a wide range of functionalities to do all your financial transactions.

Our research findings and the independent feedback, we got through the development and piloting phase of these channels suggested that the Republic Suite of digital service is by far, the best on the Ghanaian market. And Yes, we have no reason not to believe this information as we have worked tirelessly to build these applications.
