The First Sky Group, has assumed hundred per cent (100%) ownership and control of the Best Western Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi.

The new owner of The Best Western Atlantic Hotel, Mr. Eric Seddy Kutortse said the hotel will now be known as Western Serene Atlantic Hotel, effective June 1, 2024.

The development follows the acquisition of the four-star luxury facility necessitating the change in ownership from Royals Airport Hotels Limited to Western Serene Atlantic Hotel.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Kutortse said the move meant alteration in ownership, name and management with other changes and noted that all existing business relationships in agreements, contracts and commitments with existing clients remain valid and will be honoured despite the change in ownership structure.

‘It is important in view of this significant development to promise our esteemed clientele and stakeholders that the change in ownership structure will not any way influence the high quality of service and commitment in the continued delivery of excellence and professionalism associated with the brand’, Mr. Kutortse stressed.

Mr. Eric Seddy Kutortse further disclosed “With the change in ownership and control, reflecting in a change in name, we are poised to initiate swift steps in upgrading the Western Serene Atlantic Hotel to a five-star facility as the first ever in a regional capital in the country by improving existing infrastructure and services to enable customers realise more value as they make the hotel their destination of choice.’

He assured existing and prospective clients and stakeholders of continued and improved offering of unrivalled delivery of service and standards while maintaining its leadership presence to redefine local hospitality sector in the country.

The new owner also appointed Mrs. Rhoda Ashiabi as the new CEO of the Hotel in addition to Volta Serene Hotel & Oti Serene Resort.

Mrs. Ashabi explained Serene Hotels and Resorts Holdings will bring to bear its immense experience acquired from years of management of the only luxury four-star hotel in the Volta Region and only luxury beach resort in the Oti Region in Ghana applying the best top notch hospitality practices expected of an international hotel of the status of Western Serene Atlantic Hotel in meeting the expectations of the local and international traveller and client.
