Amerado: 2024 BECE citing 'Kwaku Ananse' hit 'cements how good the song is'

Rapper Amerado has expressed surprise at a Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) paper citing lyrics from his hit song Kwaku Ananse.
Junior High School (JHS) students began writing the 2024 BECE on Monday, July 8, 2024. They conclude their papers on Monday, July 15.
For the July 10 Creative Arts paper, question 26 asked: "Select the moral lesson from the lyrics 'Mani mmere wo mpaboa no' in the song 'Kwaku Ananse' by Amerado". The provided possible answers were: A) Do not be envious. B) Hard work always pays. C) Be determined. D) Be assertive.
On X, he wrote: "Today’s BECE Creative Arts paper? WOW. I never thought of this [thank you emoji] #KwakuAnanse," attaching a picture of the paper as evidence.
Speaking on Joy Prime's Prime Morning via a phone call, Amerado said the correct answer to the question was A. "Kwaku Ananse speaks about contentment, and not being envious of something you don't have that somebody has," he explained, encouraging: "You need to always be positive, and know that irrespective of your situation, better days are always near."
He added, "It's honestly mindblowing," to see his song cited in the final exams for JHS students. "Seeing this means this that song is powerful. And of course everyone who knows Kwaku Ananse knows it's a very nice song so [this] cements how good the song is."
Kwaku Ananse, at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, was adjudged the Best Hiplife Song. It is a song that sees the award-winning rapper singing and was widely well-received, prompting a remix featuring Fameye (Peter).
