American rapper Rakim Hasheem Allen, popularly known as PnB Rock, has been shot dead in what appears to be a robbery at a Los Angeles restaurant.

It is reported the musician, while in a waffle house with his girlfriend, fell victim to a gunman. 

The gunman had demanded for jewelry and caused a verbal exchange before opening fire in the Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles, Los Angeles.

When the 'Selfish' hitmaker had fallen to the floor, the assailant is reported to have taken personal items from him and fled into a getaway car which was waiting outside.

Thereafter, when police found PnB, he had multiple gunshot wounds and 45 minutes later was pronounced dead in hospital.

The murder incident happened on Monday, 12 September, 2022.

No arrests have been made yet. 

PnB Rock was slain at age 30 and is survived by two children.
