Beverly Afaglo reveals spicy details of trailblazing pyjamas party on YN Island
Actress Beverly Afaglo has fondly recalled how spontaneous her one of one pyjamas party on her colleague Yvonne Nelson’s YN Island was.
Beverly spoke to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo.
“God has really blessed me. From my businesses to regular life, I always start something and people follow,” she excitedly noted.
“Nobody had done a pyjamas party before me. It just crossed my mind,” she added.
The movie star said the idea was prompted by the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The lockdowns had been lifted but we could not assemble in a crowd. Yvonne said, ‘Come to my island’. She agreed for me to bring some friends along. We were about eight when we went. It was evening too and I wondered why we had to be in regular clothing, so I said, ‘Everybody is wearing pyjamas’,” she revealed.
The entrepreneur said during the rendezvous, they were “just sitting down, drinking and talking about life”.
“We were only women,” she noted. “The only male around, that I remember, was Yvonne Nelson’s manager Francis. He hardly sat with us. He was outside most of the time.”
“We wore pyjamas with long sleeves and trousers. We had on no nighties. Nothing was exposed, however,” the TV presenter added.
