Tokunbo Ibrahim: West African TikTok exec discusses educational content with Communication Minister

Tokunbo Ibrahim, TikTok’s Government Relations and Public Policy Lead for West Africa, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George.
During the engagement, strengthening collaboration, ensuring online safety, exploring digital learning opportunities for Ghanaians, introduction of a STEM feed dedicated to educational content in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, were discussed.
The social media platform TikTok is used mostly by young people for creating, sharing and discovering short videos mostly covering entertainment genre’s like music and comedy.
TikTok was released in September 2016.
