Blitz the Ambassador: Ghanaian filmmaker chalks 2 Grammy nominations

Ghanaian filmmaker and musician Samuel 'Blitz the Ambassador' Bazawule has two 2025 Grammy nominations.
The US-based star celebrated the honour via Instagram, indicating the categories his critically-acclaimed 2023 film The Color Purple was competing in.
"Endless gratitude to all who contributed to making this masterpiece. We earned 2 Grammy nominations: Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media and Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media," he wrote.
"Thanks to my incredible producers, cast, music supervisors, writers, arrangers, session musicians, vocalists, conductors, engineers, mixers, music editors, featured artists, Warner Bros, WaterTower Music and Gamma for this great gift. Congrats to my brother @krisbowersmusic on your brilliant score," he acknowledged.
"Finally, R.I.P Quincy Jones. Hope we did you proud," he concluded.
