Popular Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam has publicly expressed disappointment after receiving what he describes as an extremely low royalty payment from the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO).

According to the artist, he was paid GHS123.82 as royalties for the year 2025, an amount he believes does not reflect the effort, consistency, and impact of his music over the years.

Fancy Gadam took to social media to share his frustration, questioning how such a figure could be considered fair compensation for a musician with an extensive catalogue and a strong fan base.

In his post, the singer stressed that his music career is built on hard work and dedication, adding that the creative arts should not be treated lightly.

He called on GHAMRO to review its royalty distribution systems, urging the organisation to be more transparent and equitable in how it compensates artists.

Fancy Gadam’s complaint has sparked conversations online, with many musicians and fans echoing similar concerns about royalty collections and payments in Ghana’s music industry.
