I dress only to please my family: Mercy Asiedu takes on fashion critics
Mercy Asiedu has said her ultimate fashion rule is “what is pleasing” to her and her husband, and what “fits my body”.
Speaking to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo, the actress reacted to unsavoury comments about her fashion sense, especially coming from fashion critic Charlie Dior.
“I don’t dress to please anybody but myself and my husband,” she emphasised.
“If I wear something and my husband objects, I’ll take it off. I dress to please him and not anyone else.”
The Kumawood star said anyone who has time to comment on other people’s dressing “perhaps doesn’t have a job”.
“Only my husband and children’s opinion about my dressing will affect and hurt me,” she added. “My fans love me too.”
“I am not bothered by the opinions of someone sitting in a hole somewhere and criticising me,” Mercy Asiedu stressed.
