I want a house not chamber and hall – Adwoa Smart appeals to Ghanaians

Diminutive veteran actress Adwoa Smart has made a passionate appeal to well-meaning Ghanaians to honour her with a befitting house.
According to her, building a house was one of her long-time desires but she was not able to fulfill this dream because “all I made from acting was from hand to mouth.”
Adwoa Smart was, however, specific that she does not want a single room or chamber and hall but a full house.
She also wants to operate a boutique for her upkeep while on retirement.
Adwoa Smart privately known as Belinda Naa Ode Oku made this appeal on the ‘Ayekoo Ayekoo’ mid-morning show hosted by Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM.
She explained that all she was able to achieve as a veteran actress was the opportunity to travel abroad.
She was candid to say all she made as an actress was for her upkeep at the time saying “I used all I made to pay my electricity bills, water bills among others.”
Adwoa Smart has acted in numerous movies and drama episodes over several decades.
She was very popular and highly sought after during the heyday of Akan drama from 1980 to the year 2000 and beyond.
She has also featured in several music videos.
Adwoa came into prominence as a cast member of the long-running Akan drama series "Obra" (Life) which aired on GTV during the 80s and 90s
