KiDi's 'glad to be back' to work; 'creating music and performing'

Ghanaian music star KiDi has announced the end of his break from work.
On January 9, Dennis Nana Dwamena, alias KiDi, shared the flyer for his Golden Boy North American Tour 2023, only to cancel the tour on February 24.
"I've had to make this decision to postpone the tour due to health issues and I want you to know that this decision was not made lightly," he explained.
Thursday night, March 16, Twitter was awash with rumours that the 'Touch It' hitmaker's health had deteriorated into a stroke.
KiDi said nothing on social media.
His Lynx Entertainment boss Richie Mensah, however, stated categorically that: "KiDi hasn't had a stroke."
In a surprise and welcome twist to the story, the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year, KiDi, today, Friday, April 14, 2023, has declared that he is gladly "back to doing what I love most; creating music and performing."
He maintained that he "cancelling my tour" was a "painful decision" yet necessary "to take care of my health."
He also clarified that his silence especially on social media was part of the care routine.
The award-winning singer-songwriter and record producer revealed that concern was shown not only by "family, friends," and "fans" but also by "the brands I work with."
He admonished the rumour-mongers as "bad actors" who "spread false stories" about him.
While the University of Ghana, Legon, graduate did not disclose what exactly was wrong with him health-wise, in the Instagram (IG) statement, he "categorically" said "those stories" spread about his health "were false."
In a short video accompanying the statement, the musician was seen on a platform bordering a lake, in a picturesque haven, sipping tea from a cup.

A little under two months ago, I made the painful decision of cancelling my tour to take care of my health that included taking time off social media.
In that time, I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from family, friends, fans and the brands I work with.
You all made me feel incredibly loved in this difficult period and I can’t appreciate you enough.
Unfortunately, a few bad actors took this as an opportunity to spread false stories that got a lot of you very concerned. While I do not want to give it any more attention, I want to categorically address that those stories were false.
I am glad to be back to doing what I love most; creating music and performing for you.
Thanks for sticking it out with me.
Love, KiDi
