Highlife musician Kwesi Pee has appealed to all parties involved in the ongoing disputes surrounding the late Daddy Lumba to come together and resolve their differences for the sake of the legendary musician’s legacy.

Speaking in an interview on Accra 100.5 FM's mid-day news on Wednesday, November 26, Kwesi Pee expressed deep sadness over the conflicts that have followed Lumba’s passing, describing the situation as unfortunate and damaging to the reputation of Ghanaian musicians.

According to him, Daddy Lumba was a great icon whose contribution to music cannot be overstated, saying, “I call him Ghana’s Michael Jackson.

He was a legend, and it’s heartbreaking that after his death, all these things are happening.”

Kwesi Pee emphasised that the unresolved court issues and family disputes paint the wrong picture of musicians and the creative industry.

He urged the family, stakeholders, and all concerned parties to sit together, find common ground, and ensure that Lumba is given the befitting burial he deserves.

He added, “I liked Daddy Lumba a lot. We should all unite and put this man to rest properly.

This is not a good look for us as musicians. It gives the public the wrong perception.”

Kwesi Pee’s call comes at a time when tensions remain high over matters relating to the late musician’s burial and personal affairs.

His plea adds to the growing voices requesting peace and unity in honour of Daddy Lumba’s enduring legacy.
