Mzbel: NDC neglected me after my campaign efforts
Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur Mzbel has expressed disappointment over what she describes as neglect by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), despite her active role during the party’s previous campaign season.
Speaking in an interview on Kay Amofa TV, Mzbel revealed that she left her personal duties and business behind to fully support the NDC’s nationwide campaign.
However, she claims that after the party won power, no one reached out to acknowledge her sacrifices or offer any support. Mzbel explained that she has submitted numerous application letters to party offices and government agencies, hoping her restaurant would be considered for catering contracts, especially to supply food to ministerial organisations.
She says none of those letters have received a response.
According to her, she expected at least some recognition or opportunity after dedicating her time and resources to the party’s victory.
Her remarks have sparked renewed debate about how political parties treat celebrities who publicly support them during campaign seasons, particularly when expectations are unmet after elections.
