New album: 7 new songs in 3 nights, we mastered them in 2 days – Chief One

Chief One has said his upcoming album will showcase a “different” and “another part of me”.
He was speaking to Zeal Nana Kweku Bliss on Class 91.3 FM’s weekend show Class Xtra.
Apart from his usual “heavy Amapiano,” he said, among other styles, “we’ve got Hiphop, Highlife, Francophone [pop music],” on the tape.
According to the award-winning singer-songwriter and rapper, he used “three nights” for “writing and recording” the material on the long play (LP).
He also “used three engineers” for the project, “and they used like two days to master it”.
Concerning prior singles from the tape, he explained: “Actually, we have four [songs] released already.”
“So I’d say we used three nights to record seven [new] songs,” he revealed.
He explained he did not have prewritten material before recording.
“We just flow in the studio,” he indicated.
Explaining his creative process, Chief One said the concept was supreme to him.
“The moment I get the concept, the beat starts playing in my head and I communicate it to the producer and engineer,” the Wotelewoea hitmaker added.
Chief One mostly performs in his native Ewe language. Delilah is his latest song.
